We believe our core values of: Respect, Hard work & Commitment are keys to success!
Afewee Boxing Club is an all inclusive welcoming club which is affiliated to the national governing body, England Boxing. It offers competitive pathways as well as recreational classes. We pride ourselves on providing a structured and disciplined environment for all, believing that boxing not only increases physical fitness, but also mental, social and physiological well being.
The club started running 2 classes a week in May 2014 with very little equipment and staff. Growing steadily over time, with increased demand and exposure, we now run 7 classes a week with a growing team of qualified boxing coaches and cater for greatly increased numbers of club and recreational members. The club is headed by Bobby Miltiadous, England Boxing qualified coach and former amateur boxer.

Success so far
In September 2015, Steven Yansen became Afewee’s first junior to be rewarded through his hard work and talent, being accepted into the Full-Fitness Boxing Academy on a 2 year boxing scholarship. Steven will have access to great facilities and mentors and have the privilege of training like a full time athlete whilst still representing Afewee Boxing Club.
Another Afewee junior, Aymane Chiekh, won a 5 year scholarship to Winchester College, one of England’s most prestigious public schools, due to his academic as well as sporting abilities. We were very gratified to hear that he felt the club helped him with as it provided him with a sense of focus and work ethic associated with the type of training he was being provided with at the club.
In October 2015, we had our first ever boxer compete, senior Nyesco Okpako, who set the club off on a winning start! Two months later, Afewee saw its first female compete, Urszula Kowalczyk at the famous York Hall in Bethnal Green.
On 12th March 2016, 14 year old Amine Ferhat became the club’s first junior boxer to compete and provided us with a winning start in stunning fashion beating his opponent by TKO stoppage victory at a Fight for Peace show in North Woolwich.
